In January of 2004 Finning International added engines manufactured by
Caterpillar subsidiary 'Perkins Engines Company Limited' to its product line in
Western Canada through the creation of DiPERK.
DiPERK went through a name change in January 2007, becoming
DiPERK Power Solutions. This follows Finning International's other Perkins
Distribution operations in South America and the United Kingdom.
DiPERK is the master distributor of Perkins engines for British Columbia,
Alberta, Saskatchewan and the Northwest and Yukon Territories. DiPERK is
committed to developing the most efficient distribution network for Perkins
Engines in its territory, offering comprehensive power packages for OEMs
(original equipment manufacturers) and equipment users, DiPERK also directs,
through stocked warehouses, the aftermarket support of Perkins parts and
service dealers. Therefore, DiPERK has a substantial stock of Perkins engines
and parts available for immediate delivery through their dealer network.
DiPERK has made significant inroads in the industrial, power generation,
construction, agriculture and marine fields. Perkins diesel engines power
tractors, combine harvesters, excavators, telehandlers, forklifts, gen-sets,
etc., manufactured by some of the worlds leading OEMs.
Our long experience with Perkins engines has its roots in other territories.
Finning International is known to be the largest distributor of Caterpillar
equipment in the world, and the sole distributor for Perkins in Chile,
Argentina, and the United Kingdom. DiPERK Chile was recently awarded as the
best Latin American Distributor.

In 1932, the entrepreneurial businessman and engineer, Frank
Perkins, founded his company F Perkins Ltd. Operating
from a tiny workshop in
Peterborough,
